What is Grace & Family about?
Grace has always thought of her family as Ma, Nana and Paw-Paw the cat. When her father invites her to visit him in The Gambia, she imagines discovering a perfect, fairy-tale family of her own. But real families are more complicated than stories, and Grace must make sense of her feelings as she meets her father’s new family. With warmth and honesty, this beautifully illustrated picture book explores separation, belonging and the many different ways families can be made.
