What is Animals of the Bible about?
From the Garden of Eden to Noah’s ark, from Daniel’s den of lions to Jonah’s great sea creature, animals play surprising parts in these lively Bible stories. Snakes, sheep, ravens, doves, frogs and locusts all encounter people in need of help, guidance or courage. Mary Hoffman retells ten stories from the Old Testament in clear, conversational language, while Jackie Morris’s atmospheric watercolour illustrations bring the ancient world and its remarkable creatures vividly to life.
