What is A Twist in the Tail Animal Stories from Around the World about?

Ten lively animal tales from around the world introduce clever tricksters, brave adventurers and characters who do not always behave as expected. A fox races a crab, a tortoise rides an elephant, a rabbit proves surprisingly resourceful and a jackal discovers that appearances can be misleading. Retold by Mary Hoffman, these traditional stories are full of humour, suspense and unexpected twists. Each tale offers a glimpse of a different culture while showing that quick thinking can sometimes defeat strength.
