What is Sadie and the Sea Dogs about?
Sadie lives beside the Thames in Greenwich, but her thoughts are far out at sea. She explores the Maritime Museum, gazes at the Cutty Sark and dreams of voyages under billowing sails. Then, after falling asleep beneath a museum cabinet, she wakes in a magical ocean world. Guided by sea dogs, Sadie encounters dolphins, mermaids, pirates and hidden treasure. Told in lively, lyrical verse and brought to life with richly detailed illustrations, her dream becomes an unforgettable adventure across the waves.
