What is The Silent Field about?
The animals of Farthing Wood are travelling towards the safety of White Deer Park, but their journey leads them across a strange, silent field. There are no birdsong, insects or rustling leaves—only rows of crops and the dangerous smell of poison. With food scarce and farm machinery closing in, Fox must guide the frightened animals to safety. As night falls, the travellers face hungry dogs, busy roads and poisonous sprays, testing their courage, trust and determination.
