What is The lion and the mouse about?
A tiny mouse scurries across a sleeping lion and is caught by the mighty beast. Instead of eating him, the lion chooses mercy and sets him free. Later, the lion is trapped in a hunter’s net and roars for help. Hearing his cries, the mouse returns the favour, gnawing through the ropes with his sharp little teeth. Told almost entirely through expressive illustrations, this beautiful retelling of Aesop’s fable shows that kindness matters and even the smallest friend can make a great difference.
