What is An anty-war story about?
In Antworld, every ant has an important job. Douglas is different from the others because he has a name, and he dreams of joining the ants who carry food. Instead, he is chosen to become a soldier and is taught to march, wear a uniform and defend his home. At first, Douglas feels proud, but when war reaches Antworld, the excitement disappears. Through Douglas’s story, Tony Ross shows the frightening cost of war and why peace matters.
