Determined to find it, he gallops through Storyland, meeting familiar fairy-tale characters in surprising situations. As he searches for the missing pieces, the story becomes more and more muddled, with help from some unexpected friends—and a very important pea. But will the King ever find his story, and can the reader resist turning the pages when he keeps insisting: “Don’t read this book!”
About the author
Jill Lewis is the writing name used by friends Jill Walkinton and Alison Lewis. Both began as teachers and joined together to create bright, funny picture books for young readers. Their stories include Don’t Read This Book, Coconut Jack, Something Delicious, Something Different, Something Missing and Hooray for Knickers.
