Saddlebottom, a piglet with an unusual white patch on his bottom instead of his back, is shunned by his aristocratic mother, Dorothea. Facing an uncertain future, he runs away and befriends Bendigo, a one-eyed ginger cat. Together, they embark on an adventure that changes Saddlebottom's life forever.
About the author
Dick King-Smith was a much-loved British author who wrote over 100 books for children, often about animals and farms. His most famous story is 'The Sheep-Pig', which inspired the popular film 'Babe'. Dick loved spending time with animals and used his real-life experiences to create his wonderful, imaginative stories.
