Ten-year-old Harmony Parker adores animals but isn't allowed to have a pet. When her adventurous Uncle Ginger visits from India, he gifts her a magical 50p coin that grants seven wishes when the Queen's nose is rubbed. Excited, Harmony begins making wishes, but soon discovers that magic doesn't always work as expected, leading to unexpected and humorous adventures.
About the author
Dick King-Smith was a much-loved British author who wrote over 100 books for children, often about animals and farms. His most famous story is 'The Sheep-Pig', which inspired the popular film 'Babe'. Dick loved spending time with animals and used his real-life experiences to create his wonderful, imaginative stories.
