Nellie has a remarkably pretty nose, so much so that she's chosen for a special role in the Christmas play. However, when she can't resist picking it, her finger becomes stuck! Despite the efforts of various helpers, including firemen and scientists, the situation worsens. Eventually, Nellie learns the importance of heeding the advice, "Don't do that!"
