Daisy is anxious about her best friend Mara, who is ill in hospital. While walking her dog in the woods, she discovers a group of wild ponies and feels a special connection to a silvery-white one. Spending time with the pony helps ease her loneliness. One day, she meets James from school, who reveals that the pony belongs to his dad and he is responsible for its care. Daisy fears losing her new friend.
