On Midwinter's Eve, Brambly Hedge's mice prepare for their festive gathering. Young Primrose and Wilfred, set to recite a poem, retreat to the attics to rehearse. Distracted by the attic's curiosities, they discover a hidden staircase leading to a forgotten room filled with old costumes. Their unexpected find adds a delightful twist to the evening's celebrations.

Jill Barklem was a British author and illustrator who created the much-loved Brambly Hedge stories. Her books are filled with beautiful drawings and gentle tales about the adventures of mice living in the English countryside.
