What is Beautiful Bananas about?

A little girl is carrying a beautiful bunch of bananas through the jungle to her grandfather. Along the way, hungry animals take the bananas, but each one apologises and offers something else in return. A monkey, a leopard and other friendly creatures leave her with surprising treats, yet Grandad still needs his bananas. At last, a kind elephant reaches high into the trees and finds another bunch. This lively African folktale follows a funny, repeating journey full of colourful animals and unexpected exchanges.

Elizabeth Laird is a well-known British author who has written many exciting books for children. She loves to travel and often uses her adventures as inspiration for her stories. One of her most famous books is 'The Garbage King'. Elizabeth enjoys meeting young readers and sharing her love of reading and writing.
