What is The Adventures of King Rollo about?
King Rollo is eager to try out his smart new shoes, but he cannot tie the laces. When the Magician’s help does not solve the problem, a friend suggests a clever idea. Later, King Rollo tries to impress a farmer by magically transforming his plain loaf of bread into fancy food. He also makes a special birthday card for Queen Gwen and discovers that King Frank may be a better friend than he first thought.
About the author
David McKee was a brilliant British author and illustrator, best known for creating the colourful Elmer the Patchwork Elephant stories. His books are loved by children all around the world for their fun characters and important messages about being unique and accepting others. David McKee also created Mr Benn, another much-loved character from books and television.
