What is Mr Nodd's Ark about?

Mr Nodd is a wonderfully inventive carpenter. He has made a wooden umbrella for his wife, bicycles for his sons, Ham and Shem, and even a romper suit for baby Japhet. But when he builds a gigantic boat in the garden, his family wonders what he could possibly be thinking. Then a frightening weather forecast warns of serious floods.
