About the author
Thomas Meehan was an American writer who loved creating exciting stories for the stage. He is best known for writing the book for the musical Annie, about the brave and cheerful Annie, and he also helped create The Producers and Hairspray. His writing brought funny characters, big songs and hopeful adventures to audiences around the world. Thomas also wrote a children’s novel of Annie, helping young readers enjoy this much-loved story in a new way.
