What is Whale Song about?

Deep beneath the blue sea, a humpback whale begins to sing. His calls, whoops and whistles travel through the ocean, reaching whales far away. They listen carefully, learn the patterns and add sounds of their own, passing the ever-changing song from one whale to another. Following the song from the ocean depths to a boat and even the spacecraft Voyager, this lyrical non-fiction picture book explores how whales communicate and celebrates the mysteries of the natural world.
