Synopsis

When a mysterious roar echoes through the jungle, the animals flee in fear. Only Elmer, the patchwork elephant, dares to investigate. He discovers that the 'monster' is actually a frightened creature named Bloo-Bloo, who is just as scared as everyone else. Elmer befriends Bloo-Bloo and helps the other animals realise that things aren't always as scary as they seem.

About the author

David McKee was a brilliant British author and illustrator, best known for creating the colourful Elmer the Patchwork Elephant stories. His books are loved by children all around the world for their fun characters and important messages about being unique and accepting others. David McKee also created Mr Benn, another much-loved character from books and television.
