Synopsis

In Victorian England, young Tess dreams of dancing despite her family's hardships. After losing their mother and being abandoned by their father, Tess and her siblings struggle to survive. While her older siblings seek work, Tess attends The Ragged School and cares for baby Ada. Determined to rise above poverty, Tess aspires to perform in the Cinderella pantomime at the Grand Theatre, believing that even the poorest can achieve their dreams.
