Basil Brontosaurus is often teased at playschool for being slow-witted. His mother reveals that he has two brains—one in his head and another in his back—making him feel special. Emboldened, Basil begins to act superior, until a formidable Tyrannosaurus rex teaches him a valuable lesson about humility.
About the author
Dick King-Smith was a much-loved British author who wrote over 100 books for children, often about animals and farms. His most famous story is 'The Sheep-Pig', which inspired the popular film 'Babe'. Dick loved spending time with animals and used his real-life experiences to create his wonderful, imaginative stories.
