Synopsis

Sophie, a determined young girl, dreams of becoming a lady farmer. As she turns seven, she visits a farm, makes a big impression at the school concert, celebrates her birthday, and begins riding lessons. Along the way, Sophie continues to save money in her piggy bank, aiming to buy her own farm one day.

About the author

Dick King-Smith was a much-loved British author who wrote over 100 books for children, often about animals and farms. His most famous story is 'The Sheep-Pig', which inspired the popular film 'Babe'. Dick loved spending time with animals and used his real-life experiences to create his wonderful, imaginative stories.
