What is Thumbelina about?
Thumbelina is a tiny girl no bigger than a thumb, born from a flower and longing for a home of her own. Her life changes when a toad carries her away to become its son’s bride. As she escapes, Thumbelina meets beetles, field mice and a lonely mole, facing danger, loneliness and difficult choices. With kindness and courage, she helps a wounded swallow and journeys to a warm, beautiful land where she may finally discover friendship, freedom and a place to belong.
