What is Jody's Beans about?
When Jody’s Granda arrives, he brings a special packet of bean seeds. Together, they plant them and wait. Through spring and summer, Jody watches the tiny shoots grow into flowering plants covered with beans. As the seasons change and her family prepares to welcome a new baby, Jody helps Granda gather the harvest. But the growing season is not quite over: some beans are saved, ready to be planted again when spring returns.
