Synopsis

In 1944, Florence is under Nazi occupation. Thirteen-year-old Paolo and his sister, Costanza, yearn to resist the invaders. Shirley Hughes was a much-loved British author and illustrator, famous for her beautiful picture books. She created the popular Alfie series, which follows the adventures of a little boy and his family.
