Synopsis

After his bossy wife and children leave, Mr Ape finds himself alone in his vast house. Seizing the opportunity, he fills it with the pets he was never allowed to have. However, as the animals multiply, his home becomes overcrowded. With the help of new friends, Mr Ape must find a solution to his delightful dilemma.

About the author

Dick King-Smith was a much-loved British author who wrote over 100 books for children, often about animals and farms. His most famous story is 'The Sheep-Pig', which inspired the popular film 'Babe'. Dick loved spending time with animals and used his real-life experiences to create his wonderful, imaginative stories.
